Spinning Madly...turning fallen wood into art

I carved this spiral from ash. It encircles and protects a beautiful 4 inch long crystal icicle. This piece sits atop a walking staff.

Celtic Knot in Walnut
This piece was carved for Valentine's Day; inspired by a friend suggesting that a Celtic knot is the perfect symbol of a relationship. The light color is the sapwood, the dark is the heartwood. The two can not live without each other, and together they are uniquely beautiful.
